4/20: In summer 2019 I visited Tino & Allison in Dallas for the opening of Ex Ovo's "Big Summer T-shirt Show" (article), to which I had contributed a physical rendition of a tweet.
Tino & I pretty much spent days in the studio and nights at the gallery, where Allison was installing. We printed shirts for the show, and my trip's sort of extended studio visit served as the jumpoff for an essay I wrote this winter. to accompany his MFA thesis exhibition.
The show opening had a really nice feeling: all-day grilling, many seltzers, free reign to absolutely blast music outdoors, people endlessly wandering up... I even met Mariola, a friend of SofÃa's. I love visiting Texas, just give me a reason. :) :)
